● SENHORA DA ROCHA (15/20 minutes to relax and for photos)
● LAGOS:
○ Optional Boat trip to the caves and rock formations of Ponta da Piedade. An amazing and relaxed experience. A must do activity.               Duration: 1h 15m. (not included)
○ Visit to Lagos Municipal Market and to the viewpoint to admire the Marina and Meia Praia

○ Free time for walk and for lunch (One and a half to two hours). We will give tips regarding local restaurants due to the diversity of

   tourists and habits. After lunch meeting point: Statue of D. Sebastião at Praça Gil Eanes
○ Guided visit on foot, through the center of Lagos, passing by the Slave Market (the first slave market in Europe), and Santo António             Church (18th century - a single piece of architecture). Get to know the Arch of Saint Gonçalo Arch (a historic gateway to Old Town             Lagos), and the statue of the same saint, where you can enjoy an ideal setting for photos (Meia Praia, Praia da Batata and the small fort     of Ponta da Bandeira).

● Brief visit to Praia do Pinhão and Ponta da Piedade (where you can admire the lighthouse and the cliffs with hidden beaches).
● SAGRES:
○ Visit to the village of Sagres: Praia da Mareta, Pousada and the Port surroundings
○ Entrance to the fortress of S. Vicente (the most southwestern point in Europe), where the most powerful lighthouse in Europe was built -     Range of its light = 59km.

● Snack time (Café do Forte closes only after sunset (optional). Customers will enjoy the place without haste).
○ Passage by Sagres Fortress / Fortaleza de Sagres ( important military fortification from the 15th century)

HISTORICAL ALGARVE


Before the visit to Silves, be surprised by a pearl placed in a rocky spot over the sea: Senhora Da Rocha Chapel on top of a cliff. Further north, the historic and charming city of Silves with its heritage, colours, its inhabitants and way of life will amaze you. Land of Muslim princes and princesses, knights and ancient legends, get carried away by this enchanted region. A fascinating and unforgettable tour through the past, gastronomy and people of Silves. You will visit the great castle of Silves. Further inland, the pace of life changes dramatically as time passes very slowly. Monchique and its mountain offer the opportunity to relax and to enjoy the food and local special drinks, known all over south. The tour ends at Mount Fóia, the highest point in the Algarve with an elevation of 902m.

○ Visit to Silves Castle and Silves Cathedral. You will be introduced to the history and architecture of the city. Walk through the historic           area and pass through the municipal market. Opportunity to taste local sweets.
○ Lunch in a local restaurant. Not included.
● CALDAS DE MONCHIQUE AND MONCHIQUE TOWN:
○ Short walk along the sidewalk and pedestrian paths of Caldas and time for tea / coffee
○ Walk through the streets of Monchique and stop by the traditional shops of the village.
○ We will continue up the hill to Fóia. We will do a short stop at Miradouro da Fonte Santa where you can taste the water directly from the       Spring. Continuing our journey, we will arrive in Fóia ( The highest point in the whole Algarve ).

ALGARVE COAST SECRETS


Built on top of a cliff, the Chapel of Sra. Da Rocha allows you to admire the beautiful coast and rock formations. Beautiful photos can be taken. Heading west you will be presented to Ferragudo village, a traditional fishing village that overlooks the Portimão estuary. After crossing the Arade River though the old bridge, you will have the opportunity to contemplate from the top of the Fort of Santa Catarina viewpoint, the river, the mouth of the river and the long Praia da Rocha. Arriving at the charming city of Lagos an optional one-hour boat trip will amaze you as it takes our tourists to Ponta da Piedade caves and rock formations. A must do experience. The historic center still retains its distinctive character, with cobbled streets, authentic restaurants, and an atmosphere which is relaxed and welcoming.

■ Ferragudo is our next stop. Walk along the cobbled streets of this picturesque village. You will have the opportunity to go up to the hill       to the viewpoint of main church of Our Lady of Conception (Magnificent view for photos of Portimão City and Arade River)
■ Descent to Angrinha Beach and a brief visit to Praia Grande
● PRAIA DA ROCHA:
■ Continuing through to Praia da Rocha we will visit the Fort of Santa Catarina to admire the Arade River, its mouth and the famous beach     of Praia da Rocha. Excellent time to “stop” and have a drink before heading to Lagos
● LAGOS
   (If you have booked a boat trip in Lagos, the arrival in Lagos should be 15 minutes before the boat trip for a short briefing)
■ Boat trip through the amazing caves and breathtaking rock formations of Ponta da Piedade. A must do experience. Duration: 1h 15m

○ Our tour in Loulé begins at Mãe Soberana Sanctuary (Sovereign Mother). This site has magnicent views of the city, the surrounding           countryside and the sea. Our next stop is the Municipal Market (Moorish inspired covered market with its authentic Portuguese                   atmosphere).
○ Relaxed guided walk through the historic area with its pretty cobbled backstreets, where you can find local craft shops, cafés and             traditional local houses.
○ Visit to Our Lady of Conception Chapel, Loulé ́s Castle and its Museum (with an amazing collection of significant objects). The towers       of the castle offer a beautiful view overlooking this charming town.
○ Time to stop to taste the famous Loulé pastries.
● TAVIRA:
○ Free time for lunch (between 1 hour and 1 hour and a half).
○ Electric Tuk Tuk special ride through the city with a local guide (lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes). This experience allows you to visit the         salt pans ( the salt  production from Tavira exports worldwide to places like Canada, UK and Malaysia). Also the local guide will take to       local churches revealing their secrets. You also will have the opportunity to get to know part of the moorish castle ruins and its garden.

   (This activity will always depend on the availability of the Tuk Tuk company)
○ Short break on the west side of the Roman Bridge for a drink.
○ Depending on the time of the day, it is possible to pass by the rustic Cacelha Velha. The cliff edge near the church and the fortress has     an amazing uninterrupted view of the coastline.

SILVES & WINE

Under the Moors (between the 9 th and the 12th century), Silves was a major defensive stronghold and important trading centre, with boats sailing down the Arade River and crossing to North Africa. Silves is known for its red castle (red sandstone blocks and taipa), and its Cathedral. A fascinating and unforgettable tour through the past, gastronomy and people of Silves. The tour will end in a winery and you will experience a local wine tasting.

○ Our tour in Silves begins at the Roman Bridge where you will have a view from Silves on the south bank of the River Arade.
○ Continuing the tour we will visit the Castle of Silves classified as a National Monument in 1910. Built on top of a hill, the imposing Silves       Castle is Roman in origin, but it was the Arabs who built the magnificent castle we see today, between the 8th and 13th centuries. The       Cathedral and the Municipal Museum can be visited but always taking into account the wine tasting that is scheduled.

   Silves Cathedral was built in the 13th century on the site of the Moorish Grand Mosque.
○ Guided walk through Silves streets. The streets near the River are flat, with long rides and gardens. In the centre of the town towards         the Castle, the streets go up through the old town, with access to stairs and traditional stone sidewalk. Enjoy the details of the local             houses with their varied styles.
○ Brief stop at Café da Rosa (at the arcades under the Town Hall), for tea or coffee.
○ We will end the tour with an unforgettable tasting of local wines at one of the region ́s winery.

○ The whole town is a World Heritage Site.
● We will start our adventure in Évora with a visit to the Garcia de Resende Theater (Italian style), and the remains of the Roman Baths at       the City Hall. The streets of Évora are simply delightful with different details all over.
○ Visit to the Roman Catholic Cathedral (completed in 1250), its Cloister and its Tower (€3.50 per person - Not included), the Roman             Temple of Diana, the Church of Saint Francis and the Chapel of Bones (€ 5.00 per person - Not included)
○ After lunch meeting point: Praça do Giraldo (Giraldo ́s Square), next to the Renaissance fountain

LISBON

● Albufeira / Lisbon travelling time around 2 hours and 40 minutes. Brief stop for coffee and toilet.
● Almada (estimated time of arrival: 10: 00h or 11: 00h)
○ We will start our epic journey with a visit to the Cristo Rei viewpoint in Almada, which was inspired by Corcovado Christ the Redeemer       statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Portuguese statue was conceived in gratitude for Portugal being spared the Second World War.           The visit up to the terrace of this monument is optional and is not included in the tour (Entrance: € 5.00 per person).
○ Our next stop will be in Belém, Lisbon, where we will visit Belém Tower, a unique 16th century fortification (Entrance: € 6.00 per person /     Free entrance for children until 12 years old - Not included). In Belém area, the scenery breathes the glory of ancient times, where             Belém Tower, Padrão dos Descobrimentos, Jerónimos Monastery and the entire area around it, are the main landmarks.
○ Mandatory stop at Pastéis de Belém pastry shop, known all over the world. Custard Tarts have been manufactured since 1837. Near         the pastry shop, if the tour takes place on the 3rd Sunday of each month, we will have the opportunity to watch the beautiful Solemn           Changing of the Guard at the National Palace of Belém, by the Presidential Squadron (Republican National Guard)
○ Free time for lunch (between 1 hour and 1 hour and a half), in downtown Lisbon
● After lunch meeting point: It will depend on the area where we are. Usually on Rua Augusta or Praça do Comércio (Terreiro do Paço)
○ Pedestrian guided walk to Rossio Square, Figueira Square, Restauradores Avenue and Largo de São Domingos. Mandatory stop by         the famous A Ginjinha bar (since 1940), where you will taste the famous sweet cherry liqueur, courtesy of Johnny ́s Tours. The                     Portuguese are incredibly fond of this drink.
○ Guided walk through the Alfama District, one of the most famous and typical neighborhoods in Lisbon, with narrow streets, typical             doors and many fadohouses.

● We will visit Santa Lúzia ́s viewpoint and the Portas do Sol viewpoint (The view of Lisbon from both viewpoints is a must). We will pass       by Amália Rodrigues Monument and by the Castle of Lisbon (Optional - admission is not included).

SEVILLE (Al-andalus)
Discover the beauty and charm of Seville, the capital of Andalusia. Explore the main sights of this spectacular city, marked by the Moorish presence. The Real Alcazar, the Cathedral and the Giralda Tower, the Torre del Oro, Parque Maria Luísa with its extravagant Plaza de España and the Jewish Quarter, are some of the magnificent attractions that Seville has to offer. Seville is one of the largest historic centres in Europe. Enjoy a stunning day.

● ALBUFEIRA / SEVILLE travelling time around 2 hours and 25 minutes. Brief stop for coffee and toilet during the way
● SEVILE: estimated time of arrival: 10:40 am local time (One more hour in Spain)
○ Our adventure begins in this Andalusian ́s captivating capital with a visit to the impressive Plaza de España, built for the Exhibition             Ibero-American of 1929 and inserted in the Maria Luísa Park. Street music exudes energy in this place where flamenco, whether on           guitar or dance. The tiles of this plaza are unique.
○ Continuing the tour we will go for a stroll through Avenue De la Constituicion, where tourists can enjoy esplanades, shops and ice               cream parlors. Passage through the Cathedral of Seville, Torre La Giralda, Plaza del Cabido, Real Alcazar, Archive of the Indies. The         visits into some of these monuments are optional and not included.
○ Get to know the Jewish Quarter and Patio de Banderas, as these are iconic areas of Old Seville.
○ Free time for lunch (between 1 hour and 1 hour and a half ), in the historic center or accompanied by the guide at Restaurante El Buen       Punto Casa Ricardo where you can try their traditional Tapas with caña beer or a glass of red wine.
● Meeting point after lunch: It will depend on the area where our guide/driver left you.
● AFTERNOON:
○ Guided tour through The Metropol Parasol, designed by the architect from Berlin, Jürgen Mayer. This modern construction is known           locally as Las Setas, or mushrooms, because of its shady, dome-like structures. Shopping Streets of the neighborhood of Plaza Nueva       are our next passage.
○ Guided walk to Torre del Oro, with pedestrian walk along the Guadalquivir River. You can admire the other bank of the river, where the       emblematic, passionate, and colourful neighbourhood of Triana is located.
